Coaches Named for 2012 Season

We are excited to announce our head coaches for the 2012 Junior Eagle Football Season.  We have 3 experienced coaches who will be strong advocates for the Milton program and player development.

6th Grade Head Coach – Glen Nedza

Glen comes to us with over 12 years of coaching experience in various sports, including football, baseball and swimming.  His familiarity with the organization of teams and discipline in young athletes is invaluable to the development of our youngest age group.

Glen started his football coaching career at AYFA as an assistant coach for 3 seasons. Following his son to Kings Ridge, Glen was named the Head Coach to the 6th grade Kings Ridge Jr. Tigers and continued to be the Head Coach the following year of the 7th Grade team.  Making the decision to transition to the Milton program the following year, Glen then served as support for the 8th Grade Milton Jr. Eagles.

Glen lives in the Milton district along with his wife and 3 children, including a Milton HS football and baseball player.

7th Grade Head Coach – Ben Alexander

Returning as Head Coach for the rising 7th grade team, Ben Alexander brings the consistency necessary to propel his team to the next level.  Last year, as head coach of the 6th Grade Milton Jr. Eagles, Ben had great success in taking this team into the 2nd round of the playoffs in our highly competitive region.

Prior to joining the Jr. Eagles program last year, his teams enjoyed tremendous success at the Alpharetta Youth Football Association program, winning 3 Championships.   In 2010, Ben’s team won both the North Metro Football League championship and the Georgia State Championship.   He is equally accomplished as a baseball coach, taking numerous travel teams to championships in statewide competition.

Ben has 2 children, including a rising freshman in the Milton program.

8th Grade Head Coach – Randy Watson

In addition to his duties as Co-President of Milton Jr. Eagles and as the 9th Grade Rep for the Milton Touchdown Club, Randy Watson will also serve in an AD capacity, adding an additional level of structure to our program.  Randy brings not only coaching experience, but also the hands-on experience of playing football at a higher level.

Starting his lifetime of football, Randy grew up in Texas playing high school football in the Houston area, playing both Defensive End and Tight End.  Transitioning into a Line Backer, he played 4 years at The University of North Texas.

Randy has coached at the feeder level for three years and two years at Roswell Rec before that.  His first year as an assistant for the Roswell Jr Hornets, he took the team to the 2nd round of the playoffs, losing to McEachern.  The second year, he took the 7th grade team to the championship game losing to Walton.

Randy lives in the Roswell with his wife and 2 boys, a rising freshman at Milton High School and a 7th grader in our Feeder program.

You will have the opportunity to meet the coaches and hear a little bit more on their coaching goals at our parent meeting , tentatively scheduled for Wednesday February 29th.  We are waiting on confirmation of meeting space and will notify you shortly as to the location and time.  Online registration will also be opening soon, so stay tuned for more updates and information.
